OPTITEC: a partner to the European project 3P4I on photonics for packaging applications for the food and agriculture industry
Selected from among 150 responses to the call for expressions of interest Towards European Strategic Cluster Partnerships (ESCP), the project, managed by SECPHO (Spanish photonics cluster), includes 2 photonics clusters (one being OPTITEC) and 3 food and agriculture industry packaging clusters (Spain, Germany).
The aim of the 3P4I Project is to promote partnerships between stakeholders in the fields of food processing and packaging and the European clusters, in order to identify and develop innovative technological solutions to problems arising during the packaging process which might limit the conservation span of food products.
